Water Sampling

Water Sampling and Analysis

Water quality has a direct impact on every stage of oilfield operations. Understanding its composition is crucial for selecting the appropriate chemistries, preventing equipment damage, and maximizing production efficiency.

GeoKimika provides on-site water sampling and real-time testing of critical parameters, ensuring fast, accurate data from the field.

At our state-of-the-art laboratory, we perform comprehensive analysis of more than 20 water properties. Each report includes detailed water parameters and scale modeling using industry-accepted methods, delivering actionable insights you can trust.

Friction Loop

Friction reducers are the primary component of slickwater fluids, and their ability to effectively lower pumping pressures is essential to a successful hydraulic fracturing operation. GeoKimika evaluates FR performance both in a traditional laboratory setting and directly in the field.

Our friction loop testing is a powerful tool for product development, QC testing, and pre-job design.

Dynamic Scale Loop (DSL)

Scale inhibitors are widely used to control the deposition of scale in oilfield operations. The ability to effectively control scale is critical to the long-term production of a well. Products can be evaluated in a dynamic environment to simulate the pressure and temperature conditions of a well.

Bacteria Testing and Kill-studies

Bacteria present in oilfield waters can accelerate equipment corrosion and contribute to the formation of H₂S. Implementing an effective disinfection program is essential for maintaining well integrity and protecting production assets.

GeoKimika provides comprehensive kill-study testing to evaluate biocide and oxidizer efficiency and to verify proper chemical application. Our capabilities include:

  • Serial dilution testing for sulfate-reducing, acid-producing, and iron-reducing bacteria

  • ATP testing for rapid microbial activity assessment

  • Microbial genetics (DNA) for advanced microbial identification and speciation

These services help ensure your treatment program is optimized, effective, and grounded in data.

Wet Sand Testing

Sand is an integral part of completion designs. We offer API 19C testing, including Turbidity, Sand Sieve, and Acid solubility.

Rheology

Fluid rheology or viscosity plays a critical role in high viscosity friction reducer fluids. Our laboratories are equipped with viscometers and rheometers to evaluate fluid viscosity under various shear and temperature conditions. We can perform various tests, including Gel hydration, crosslink time, HPHT rheology, breaker profile, and viscoelasticity.

Other

We can offer a variety of testing services, including clay stabilization, surfactant wetting properties, oil recovery, and formation damage. Our testing capabilities continue to expand. For the most current list, contact us today.
